Shyam Century Ferrous Ltd came in existence in the year 2001 in Meghalaya, to capture the growing demand of ferro silicon, the integral part in the production of steel. Already the first of its kind to install 18 MVA submersible Arc Furnaces to produce 15,000 MT ferro silicon, Centuryply’s ferro silicon business is poised to grow significantly in the future. The merger of Shyam Century Ferrous Limited with Centuryply creates greater opportunities of scale for the business. To overcome the power shortage SCFL has installed a 14MW captive power plant.
